About International Scholars Cyber Olympiads ( ISCO )

The International Scholar’sCyber Informatics Olympiad plays a crucial role in developing students' understanding of cyber security, digital literacy, and emerging technologies. Here’s why it is important:
1. Enhances Cyber Awareness

Formate of ISCO

The International Scholar's Olympiad consists of two rounds: the Screening Round and the Scholar's Round. To be eligible for the Screening Round, students must be enrolled in a UDISE-registered school in their respective class. To qualify for the Scholar's Round of the International Scholar's Olympiad, a participant must secure at least 50% marks in the Screening Round.
This Olympiad is categorized based on age groups rather than class. However, to streamline the process, we have grouped certain classes together to align with the age criteria. Question papers and the preparatory e-book will be structured accordingly for each group.

Syllabus & qualifying criteria:

In accordance with the NEP (2020), NCF (2023), and the guidelines of NCERT, CBSE, as well as National and various State Boards, any modifications or reductions in the syllabus for the convenience of schools and students will be reflected in the actual question papers.
GROUP-1 (Grade:-1-2)
Section-1:- Series (Analogy, Spatial Understanding), Coding (Grouping), Arrangement (Odd one Out), Analytical (Ranking Test pattern), Non Verbal (Geometrical Shapes) Quantitative Aptitude (Money, Time & Calendar, Measuring Units)
Section-2:-Introduction of computer, Main Parts of Computers, input & Output devices, Uses of computer, Introduction to Keyboard and Mouse, Starting and Shutting down Computer, Introduction to MS Paint

GROUP-2 (Grade:-3-5):

English Dictionary based word arrangements, Missing letters/ Numbers, Coding Decoding, Symbols, Math’s operations, sitting arrangement, Blood relations, Direction Test, Ranking, missing characters etc.Box containing some number, you’ve to find missing number, Time & Clock, Mirrors and water reflection, Sequence of figures, Configuration, fitting pieces, odd pieces, Number system, Data handling.
Section-2:- Computer Languages, Small Basic, Algorithm and flow chart, Mail Merge/MS-Word

GROUP-4 (Grade:-9-10):

Section-2:- Basics of Information Technology:
Characteristics of a Computer System, Memory Storage Devices I/O Devices, Types of Software, Computer Networking, Multimedia

Cyber Safety& Ethics:-
Safely Browsing the Web and Using Social Networks,  Safely Accessing Websites, Cyber Safety Netiquettes, Introduction to software licenses, Introduction to intellectual property rights, Introduction to freedom of information, Introduction to e-commerce

Office Tools:-
Word Processing, Presentation Tools, Spreadsheets
From Level-1 to Level-2:- All those who obtains 50% of the total marks.

The winners of Hope International Scholar’s Olympiad, taking place during the current academic year, will receive the following awards and recognitions.
The Hope Foundation & its subsidiaries have allocated over 1.6 crore towards awards, recognition, facilitation, media coverage, and the promotion of students, teachers, principals, and schools with the help of their Sponsors.

If two or more students attain the same national rank after applying our tie-breaking criteria, the cash award for the respective category will be distributed as follows:
For up to 10 students getting the same rank, award amount will be distributed equally. In addition, each winner will be awarded a medal (in the applicable category) and a Certificate of outstanding performance.
In case 11 or more students get the same rank, in lieu of cash award, each winner will be awardedscholarship of gifts worth Rs.1,000/- each + a medal ( in the applicable category) and a Certificate of outstanding performance.
Each winner will receive only one award per exam, with entitlement to the highest-level award they qualify for. For example, the top three national rank holders will receive awards based on their national ranks, while their zonal-level awards will be passed on to the next eligible rank holder. Similarly, if a zonal award winner also qualifies for a class topper award, the class topper award will be granted to the next eligible rank holder.

Although district ranks are not officially designated, every district topper will be honored with a cash prize*, a Medal of Distinction**, and a Certificate of Excellence.

STEP-2 Take the nominations from the students and fill the relevant entries into the downloaded students registration forms.
(Handwritten and scanned copies of the student’s registrations forms will not be accepted)
